MLK Day...

This is in response to my super-smart cousin’s post on FB:

Nathan:

Really? “forgot he was black”? I think this is about the most condescending thing I have ever heard. Where is the lynch mob? Oh wait, he’s in the right (left) party so its ok…

ME:

Now… if Obama could forget he was black.. we’d all be on to something.

Someone RAN from me after I said ‘don’t make MLK day about Obama.. let the Dr. have his DAY.’ and when I retold the story..everyone INSTANTLY thought it was racially charged.

i say EFF that & EFF you(not ‘you’..the guy that ran..) .  I never even thought that..don’t project your own racial predjudices on me. I would say the same thing about Mothers, Fathers, Presidents, Labor-ers, Memorial-ers, Good Friday-ers..and ANYONE who has a F-ING birthday…(yes..that means everyone & anyone.) …

Furem fur cognoscit et lupum lupus: A thief recognizes a thief..a wolf recognizes a WOLF. If you thought about the implications first then YOU are the one perpetuating them. He who smelt it dealt it. In order for the prejudice to end..BOTH parties have to forget. At the same time. GO. ahhahahaha…yeah right..  :)

Super smart Nathan:

Lol Kris, the guy who ran from you probably saw that you were about to unleash this diatribe which would have reduced him to finely ground hamburger meat! ;)

I’m just really sick of hearing about race all the time. I know we can’t ignore it and pretend that some differences don’t exist, but do we have to say things like Wolf Blitzer’s “So black” … See Morecomments during Katrina, or Ray Nagin’s “Chocolate City” fiasco?

I think that deep down, you will find a lot more racism from those ivory tower liberals than the oft denigrated redneck from the trailer park. Mainly because the redneck actually has to work for a living, and could really care less what someone’s skin color is as long as he gets paid…

Me:
OMG -So…  A person RAN from me.  In public.  WTF?!   The minute i heard that guy say Obama, it’s like someone scratched the music to a halt, people dressed in black moved a podium in front of me, and a giant spotlight flashed on directly over me’…showtime!!
i’m all fun and games till you say something ridiculous…or give credit where credit isn’t due.
Hopefully I can control my emotions when I have to share my birthday with a friend’s wedding this summer.
Yikes..muah ah ah ah aaaahhhh :)
